Re-Use previously used project
TMG is a 'relational' database system with each individual element of data retained in
a separate linked table. PathWiz! extracts all elements for an exhibit into a record in a combined table.
Some users have a large number of exhibits - thus creating a Reporting database with all
elements in it does take quite a time.
Users have suggested that a previous run of PathWiz! may contain their latest data
end thus the base table can be re-used without taking time to rescan.
This is the invitation to re-use
See here for details
See other options for further 'speed ups'.
When to Re-use a project's saved data
The user who wants to Re-use their project data can take two situations into account
As the headings in the dialogue windows say:
1 When was the last time the project was used in PathWiz!
2 When was the project last used in TMG - the user will need to decide if any changes were made to the relevant data that would
inhibit re-using the existing tables.
Clicking on the [View Project Details] button will show the Project area from the ini file.
